Ma Jian

Ma Jian (馬建) was born in 1953. He’s an artist and a dissident of Chinese origin, often called the „Chinese Solzhenitsyn”. His books such as “Red Dust”, “Beijing Coma” and “China Dream” expose the criminal doings of the Chinese regime in an unprecedented way.

Although Ma left China to live in Hong Kong, he often visits his mother land. In 1989 he supported the Tian’anmen protests. Ma is a winner of many prizes such as Thomas Cook Travel Book Award, China Free Culture Prize and Index on Censorship TR Fyvel Book Award.
