The book, a part of so-called Rat Trilogy, is often looked over, which is a shame. It’s a dreamlike story about alternative worlds, the entrance to which can be found on the 16th floor of the mysterious The Hotel Dolphin. The main character, Haruki, stayed there many years ago with his girlfriend, a luxurious call girl called Kiki. In Dance, Dance, Dance, the famous Sheep Man also returns, and all the characters from different worlds seem inextricably linked.
