Cook Korean! is yet another, after Let’s Make Dumplings and Let’s Make Ramen unique cookbook in a comic edition. This time, the cuisine of one country, South Korea, is presente, showing dishes as well as culinary customs and traditions.
The book is divided into chapters, each of which presents 8-10 recipes preceded by an interesting introduction: kimchi and pickles, vegetable side dishes, meat, seafood, soups, Korean rice porridge – juk, noodles and rice, snacks and street food, cocktails and alcohol, and fusion dishes. Eye-pleasing step-by-step drawn instructions will help especially those who do not have much experience in cooking.
You will find an exceptionally interesting selection of traditional dishes and learn how to prepare everything from scratch, such as different types of kimchi, meat and vegetable classics, wonderful warming soups and stews… Every dish from this book is great, but we especially recommend sogogi miyeokguk – a soup with seaweed and beef, hotteok – hot sweet pancakes with brown sugar, or, if you feel like experimenting, a kaki and jujube cocktail paired with a Korean version of taco.
