Naked Body is a unique collection. all comics included in the following anthology were selected through an open-call organized by Yan Cong on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of his Narrative Addiction magazine. They have one thing in common: topics closely related to nudity, broadly understood sexuality, and social problems.
Artists approach the subject in various ways; there are more serious stories, as well as ones that can make us laugh (my favorite comic is definitely Watermelon Man, which surprises not only with its extremely expressive line and color palette, but also with a rather surprising theme). Nudity is common and extremely human here, visible from every side, literally and figuratively. Sometimes it is a symbol of liberation and freedom, but also shows the sensitivity and fragility. Stripping off clothes is often a pretext to show deeper issues. Everyone will find something for themselves here, also in purely artistic terms. Naked Body collection is a journey through various styles: from those resembling careless drawings of a child, through blurry sketches, to strong, expressive illustrations. A real treat not only for comic book fans!
