Singaporean niche publisher Difference Engine proudly presents the very first comics anthology titled SOUND. Creators from various South-East Asian countries were asked to cross the boundaries in visualizing the invisible with pictures and words, at the same time telling personal stories focused on the titular sound.
Budjette Tan and Charis Loke curated this intriguing anthology showcasing creativity of many South-East Asian artists – both already well-known and upcoming names. The collection, including a wide range of genres and tropes, is an exciting exploration of the graphic medium. All the stories created by writers and illustrators were inspired by famous places in their region and set there. The addictive narrations consist of personal experience, as well as universal topics, selected by adept comics editors. Since the presented styles and genres are so broad and different, it will surely cater to all the tastes of our readers. It’s a great book for all interested in South-East Asia!
