The book is divided in three parts, morning, afternoon, and evening, although they seem to me more of a suggestion than anything else. Japanese curry, for example, is a good choice not only for lunch as suggested, but especially on cold winter evenings.
Tokyo Local features yummy breakfast food – traditional-style, as well as those with Western influences. There bigger meals focus more on classical Japanese tastes – noodles (soba, ramen, udon,) vegetables (yummy potato salad!), meat, fish and seafood. There are also sweet ideas for all times of the day – more dessert recipes than you’ll usually find in cookbooks about Japan.
Tokyo local is the perfect book for starting your adventure with Japanese cuisine, as well as an ideal choice for all those who appreciate good design.
From the same series we also recommend a trip to Hong Kong in Hong Kong Local.
