This book could be subtitled “The Hidden Life of Houseplants.” Many do not pay much attention to houseplants until the poor things start to wither (from longing) or suffer from excess water, given too generously. Kwon Jeong-min reverses the situation – in Urineun Dangsine Daehae Jogeum Algo Itseumnida the protagonists are plants. They are the ones who observe and comment on the sometimes bizarre habits and behavior of people. There are quite a lot of plants that you never pay much attention to in your surroundings – in a park, in a shop, in a library… Sometimes one human gesture is enough to give an abandoned plant a second life.
