It’s a pocket anthology of three short stories with three distinct atmospheres. There’s a melancholic, poetic letter of a student disillusioned with coming back to his home country — Japan (Behind the Prison by Kafū Nagai), humorous portrait of a lazy lawyer who spends days in a closet (Closet LBB by Kōji Uno), and the writer’s commentary on historical fraud on the basis of a brutal murder of a Japanese emissary in Korea committed by a Korean general (General Kim by Ryūnosuke Akutagawa). This anthology is an excellent introduction to the works of these three authors.
