Alfian Sa’at
Alfian Sa’at (1977-) is a playwright who permanently collaborates with the W! LD RICE theater group. His plays have been translated into German, Swedish and Danish and staged in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, London, Berlin, Hamburg, Zurich, Munich, Copenhagen and Stockholm. He was nominated for the Life! magazine’s theater award seven times for the best screenplay, he was awarded the main prize twice. He also received the first prize in the “Poetry” category in the SPH-NAC Golden Point competition, and the Singapore Young Artist 2001 award in the “Literature” category.
