Gogu Shyamala
Gogu Shyamala (1969) is a Dalit feminist from the Indian state Telengana. She graduated from dr B.R. Ambedkar Open University. At that time she was a member of the Communist Party of India. As an activist, she stands against the caste discriminiation.
Shyamala’s collection of short stories inspired by her childhood in rural Dalit community, Father May Be an Elephant, and Mother Only a Small Basket, But…, was published in 2022.
