Boya Chinese is one of the most widely used textbooks for Mandarin study. The first level (elementary) consists of 2 sets of books – you can find part 1 here. The elementary level starts from scratch, so it is suitable for people who are not yet familiar with the language at all. The textbooks promote fast, intensive learning and are very immersive from the beginning. The texts are written entirely in Chinese from the very beginning; dialogues and new words / phrases also have pinyin transcription. Boya Chinese was created as a textbook for university students, so the main topics of the chapters are tailored to the everyday needs of students and young people.
This level features over 1000 words in 55 chapters and will prepare you to take the HSK Level 3 exam.
