Trope Tokyo is the fourth album in the Trope City Editions series, which presents metropolises in contemporary and realistic shots. In this beautifully published album you will find 224 photos on matte paper, taken by 16 young photographers from Japoan and beyond.
The album consists of 7 thematic chapters, each with a map of the places where the photos were taken. You will find views from the streets of Tokyo and public transport in different seasons, as well as the city transformed by the night lights. In addition to large, crowded thoroughfares and intersections, photographers also take you to temples, narrow streets and small, atmospheric cafes and bars. Separate chapters are devoted to sakura and the best places to observe cherry blossoms, as well as Tokyo’s “two towers”: Tokyo Tower and Tokyo Skytree. The album end with wonderful photos of the city from a bird’s eye view.
